Hosts are the first thing a guest sees upon arrival. You are the smiling face that greets everyone as they arrive at La Riv.
As the Lead host you will control the flow of our restaurant. You are the smile they see, the first welcome, the one guiding seating, special requests, exceeding guest expectations at every turn.
We are looking for upbeat, friendly, people to work an essential position at La Riv.
Previous host experience is required
Fine dining experience also preferred
Host will greet guests, reset tables, run Open table, clean menus and keep the entrance clean throughout their shift.
Pay is $15-17 hr plus tipout- negotiable depending on experience.

Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and manage wait times to ensure a positive first impression
- Oversee the host/host team, providing training, guidance, and support to deliver exceptional guest service
- Coordinate reservations and seating arrangements using Open table
- Maintain guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring guest satisfaction
- Assist with managing the flow of guests during peak hours to optimize seating efficiency
- Uphold cleanliness and organization of the host station and waiting areas
- Collaborate with restaurant or hotel staff to ensure smooth operations and effective communication
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when handling reservations or guest inquiries
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Host/Host or in a similar food service or hospitality role
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Previous experience in hotel guest services or serving roles is a plus
- Ability to lead a team, motivate staff, and handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Knowledge of hospitality standards, guest relations, and phone etiquette is desirable
- Prior experience in restaurant or hospitality environments demonstrating professionalism and adaptability
