Duties
- Operate laundry machines and equipment to wash, dry, fold, and iron linens, towels, uniforms, and guest clothing with precision and care
- Sort laundry items by color, fabric type, and cleaning requirements to ensure optimal results
- Perform dry cleaning processes for delicate or special garments using appropriate solvents and techniques
- Maintain cleanliness of laundry areas, including sorting stations, storage rooms, and equipment to promote a safe working environment
- Track laundry inventory levels and notify management when supplies need replenishing
- Assist with delivering clean linens to various departments or guest rooms promptly and professionally
- Follow safety protocols and proper handling procedures for cleaning chemicals and equipment
Requirements
- Proven experience in laundry services or hotel housekeeping is highly preferred
- Knowledge of laundry techniques including washing, drying, folding, ironing, and dry cleaning processes
- Strong attention to detail to ensure all linens are spotless and well-maintained
- Ability to operate laundry machinery safely and efficiently
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Good physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy loads as needed
