Part-Time Night Auditor – Overnight Front Desk

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Night Auditor to support our overnight front desk operations and nightly audit process. This role is ideal for someone who works well independently, values structure and accuracy, and can assist with preparing the hotel for morning operations.

Schedule & Availability

• Overnight shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM

• Part-time position

• Open availability is a plus

• Additional shifts may be offered based on the operational needs of the hotel

• Weekends and holidays may be required

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform nightly audit and balance all daily financial transactions

• Complete and submit all required night audit reports within designated timeframes

• Accurately process guest check-ins, check-outs, reservations, and payments

• Answer and professionally handle all incoming phone calls throughout the overnight shift

• Actively sell remaining available room inventory prior to running night audit, following approved rates and guidelines

• Conduct routine overnight walkthroughs of guest floors and public areas to ensure safety, quiet, and policy compliance

• Assist with basic breakfast setup to ensure breakfast opens on time (setup support only; food preparation not required unless trained)

• Stock, face, and maintain gift shop merchandise, ensuring proper presentation and inventory levels

• Maintain lobby, front desk, and public area cleanliness overnight

• Complete all required checklists and accurate documentation

• Record and communicate maintenance issues, incidents, and notable overnight activity to management

• Maintain guest privacy, security, and key control at all times

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required

• Customer service experience required; hotel or night audit experience preferred

• Comfortable using a Property Management System (PMS) and basic computer programs

• Basic understanding of cash handling, balancing, and auditing procedures

• Calm, professional demeanor when handling guest needs or concerns overnight

Physical & Work Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, and perform routine property walkthroughs

• Ability to lift or move light items as needed

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and adjust priorities during overnight hours
