THE OPPORTUNITY / LA OPORTUNIDAD:
We are currently seeking an experienced Hotel Housekeeping Inspector to join our team at La Quinta by Wyndham Thousand Oaks.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure cleanliness, presentation, and adherence to brand standards.
- Verify that rooms are properly serviced, stocked, and ready for guest arrival in a timely manner.
- Identify and report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or equipment malfunctions to the appropriate department.
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies, safety procedures, and cleanliness standards.
- Conduct follow-up inspections to confirm corrective actions have been completed.
- Assist in training and coaching housekeeping team members on cleaning procedures, quality standards, and productivity expectations.
- Monitor room attendants’ performance and provide feedback to improve efficiency and quality.
- Maintain accurate inspection records, reports, and logs.
- Coordinate with Front Office and Maintenance teams to prioritize room readiness and guest needs.
- Respond promptly to guest requests or concerns related to room cleanliness and resolve issues professionally.
- Support inventory control by ensuring proper use and storage of cleaning supplies and linens.
- Participate in deep cleaning programs and special projects as assigned.
- Ensure adherence to lost and found procedures and proper handling of guest belongings.
- Promote a safe and positive work environment by following all safety and compliance guidelines.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
- High school degree or equivalent.
- The ideal candidate will have at least 2-4 years of experience in housekeeping within a hotel or hospitality environment required.
-Prior experience as a Room Attendant or Housekeeping Supervisor/Inspector strongly preferred.
- Prefer the candidate have prior experience working in a hotel/resort.
- Pleasant demeanor
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to handle stressful situations in a calm, professional manner.
- Must have the ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and directly with guests using a positive, clear speaking voice.
- Must be willing and available to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
