Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, public areas, and service spaces using appropriate cleaning techniques and chemical agents
- Handle chemical agents safely by following safety data sheets (SDS) and proper handling procedures to ensure a safe environment for all staff and guests
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks such as moving furniture, supplies, or equipment in accordance with manual handling safety standards
- Conduct floor care activities including sweeping, mopping, buffing, and carpet cleaning to maintain high standards of cleanliness
- Support hotel housekeeping management by coordinating cleaning schedules and ensuring timely completion of assigned tasks
- Follow hotel emergency procedures diligently to respond effectively to incidents or safety concerns
- Maintain cleanliness standards by utilizing janitorial experience and industrial cleaning techniques across various areas of the property
Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning, custodial work, or janitorial services within a hospitality or industrial setting
- Knowledge of chemical agent handling and safety data sheets (SDS) to ensure safe use of cleaning products
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely and efficiently
- Strong understanding of floor care techniques including sweeping, mopping, polishing, and carpet extraction
- Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management practices and standards
