Job Summary
We are hiring: weekends Saturday and Sundays 9:00 to 5:00.
Manages the operations of the shelter as it pertains to providing a continuum of services to residents of La Posada Home, Inc. This position requires sitting, standing, stooping, climbing and walking for various periods of time daily and the ability to lift up to 30 pounds. Reports directly to the Service Coordinator and contributes to team effort.
Qualifications
· High School Diploma
· Experience working with social service agencies preferred
· Bilingual (Fluent in Spanish and English both written and spoken)
· Knowledge of using all office machines
· Able to multitask, handle difficult situations tactfully
· Trustworthy and self-directed
· Excellent organizations skills. Above average ability to maintain cordial, supportive, professional relationships with staff, clients and the general public
· Able to pass a criminal background check
· CPR/ First Aid certification required
Client Monitor Aid & Duties
1. Keeps files and work area organized.
2. Maintains logs of visitors and volunteers.
3. Projects a professional and polished image that inspires confidence and trust.
4. Efficiently handles calls, answers and directs inquiries.
5. Provides supplies and assists clients’ needs.
6. Utilizes MS Word and Excel to produce daily reports, lists and logs.
7. Delivers superior customer service.
8. Assures security of clients at all times.
9. Listens attentively and actively.
10. Gives program information to incoming calls and visitors.
11. Creates chore list, conducts and supervises regular room inspections and chore completion.
12. Assures that clients’ needs for safety, health, and program compliance are being met.
13. Supervises, schedules volunteers and monitors events.
14. Maintains inventories and assures proper stocking of donations and supplies.
15. Maintains regular communication with staff regarding clients, maintenance issues, volunteers, donations, etc.
16. Assists on special occasions for fundraisers, holidays and other needs.
17. Develops in-depth knowledge of the agency services and operations policies and procedures.
18. Greets and screens visitors in order to maintain security of the building.
19. Keeps forms and copies available at all times.
20. Reviews emergency equipment and conducts fire drills regularly.

Pay: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour
