Position: Aide, SPED FOCUS Secondary (Life Skills)
Location: La Porte High School
Assist the teacher(s) in the preparation and management of classroom activities and administrative requirements. Assist in the implementation of classroom programs, including the FOCUS Program, self-help, behavior management and instruction. Work under the general supervision of the supervisor and the immediate direction of a certified teacher.
Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid SBEC Educational Aide certificate
- Associate's Degree or 48 or more college hours or NCLB ParaEducator Certification issued by San Jacinto College or other local educational entity

The District contributes $400/month to the cost of employee only health insurance, which is $175/month greater than the state required amount of $225/month.
