Valuing and classifying all real and personal property in La Plata County. Visits and measures property, takes photos and conducts sales and inventory review on site. Inputs property information in computer system using GIS mapping, Multi list programs and apex property sketch software; updates data and values on properties and defends values in property appeals. Background or interest in real estate or construction is helpful. Training is provided and paid for by Assessor's office with the goal of obtaining Colorado Appraisal License. High School diploma or GED required, Bachelor's degree preferred. Competency with MicroSoft computer and mapping programs required.
