Pizza Maker - La Plage Mystic
La Plage Mystic is seeking an experienced Pizza Maker to join our culinary team. Located along the scenic Mystic River at the new DELAMAR MYSTIC, La Plage offers an elevated coastal dining experience focused on exceptional ingredients, craftsmanship, and hospitality.
Responsibilities
- Prepare pizza dough according to established recipes and standards
- Proof, stretch, and bake dough to ensure consistent quality
- Prepare pizza sauces, toppings, and mise en place
- Maintain inventory, order supplies, and support food cost goals
- Keep pizza station clean, organized, sanitized, and fully stocked
- Train and mentor kitchen team members to ensure consistency
- Inspect finished pizzas for quality and presentation before service
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of pizza equipment
- Collaborate with the culinary team on menu development and seasonal features
Qualifications
- Culinary degree preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Pizza Maker in an upscale or high-volume restaurant
- Strong knowledge of dough fermentation, pizza production, and kitchen sanitation
- Excellent time management, organization, and communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Team-oriented with a commitment to quality and guest satisfaction
