Position: Counseling Case Manager (Full Time)
Reports to: Director of Victims Advocacy, Executive Director
Education Requirements: Bachelors degree preferred. Successful completion of sexual assault advocate training. A minimum 2 years experience in sexual assault crisis intervention or 2 years work in victim services.
Skills and Knowledge:
Ø Excellent skills and knowledge in first response protocols
Ø Excellent relations with law enforcement, medical community, other professionals
Ø Ability to be flexible and responsive to first response team members
Ø Possess excellent written and oral communication skills
Ø Demonstrated ability to provide support for victims and family members
Ø Possess self motivation, enthusiasm and leadership qualities
Ø Ability to work in a team approach
Ø Ability to positively network in a service delivery system
Ø Proficient skills in Microsoft Office
Job Related Duties:
1. Provide community resource information for victims of crime
2. Ensure victims and families are given information related to victims’ rights and victim compensation
3. Ensure victims and their families are provided with legal process information and medical options
4. Ensure grant reports are timely and accurate each month, quarterly and end of year for all funding sources in case management.
5. Ensure all goals and objectives are met for all funding sources in crisis intervention
6. Maintain clear and positive communication with Director of SANE Programs, Director of Victims Advocacy, Director of Mental Health Services, Executive Director.
7. Maintain contact with victims to ensure all aspects of victimization have been addressed.
8. Facilitation of counseling referrals to contract therapists and in-house therapists
9. Participation in weekly counseling staffing meetings with Mental Health Dept.
10. Other duties as assigned
*Compensation dependent on experience and grant funding.
