Responsibilities
- Support funeral directors in coordinating funeral services, including setup, logistics, and event planning to ensure seamless ceremonies.
- Assist families with bereavement support, offering compassionate guidance and empathetic communication throughout the process.
- Handle heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely when preparing caskets, equipment, or floral arrangements in accordance with safe lifting practices.
- Drive funeral vehicles as needed for transportation of remains or family members, maintaining a clean driving record and adhering to traffic laws.
- Manage administrative tasks such as records management, documentation, and client communication to ensure accurate and organized files.
- Provide exceptional customer service by working closely with families, answering questions, and offering support during difficult times.
- Participate in on-call coverage to respond promptly to after-hours needs or emergencies related to funeral services.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in funeral & mortuary services or event coordination is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills for working effectively with families and team members.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following proper manual handling techniques.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for transportation duties.
- Experience in bereavement support or customer service is a plus.
- Administrative experience including records management and event planning is beneficial.
- Bilingual required
