Job Description: Cannabis Retail Manager

Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Cannabis Retail Manager to lead our retail operations and deliver exceptional customer experiences in our cannabis dispensary. As a Cannabis Retail Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the retail environment, including staff management, inventory control, compliance with regulatory requirements, and maintaining a welcoming and informative atmosphere for customers.

Responsibilities:

1. Store Operations:

• Lead daily store operations, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning of the dispensary.
• Create and maintain a positive, welcoming, and safe environment for both customers and staff.
• Implement and uphold company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

2. Staff Management:

• Recruit, train, and manage a team of retail associates, ensuring they are knowledgeable about products, regulations, and customer service.
• Foster a collaborative and motivated team culture, providing ongoing coaching and development to enhance employee performance.

3. Customer Service:

• Set a high standard for exceptional customer service, ensuring that each customer interaction is informative, friendly, and professional.
• Address customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback, aiming to exceed customer expectations and build brand loyalty.

4. Inventory Management:

• Oversee inventory levels, ordering, and restocking to ensure products are consistently available and well-presented.
• Implement effective inventory control measures to minimize discrepancies and losses.

5. Compliance:

• Stay updated on local and state regulations pertaining to cannabis retail and ensure the dispensary operates within legal boundaries.
• Ensure accurate record-keeping and documentation to maintain compliance with regulatory agencies.

6. Sales and Marketing:

• Develop and execute strategies to drive sales growth and achieve revenue targets.
• Collaborate with marketing teams to plan and implement promotional events, product launches, and campaigns.

7. Financial Management:

• Monitor and manage the dispensary's financial performance, including budgeting, expenses, and sales data analysis.
• Identify opportunities for cost optimization and revenue enhancement.

8. Health and Safety:

• Implement health and safety protocols to create a secure environment for both staff and customers.
• Address any safety concerns promptly and effectively.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or related field (preferred but not required).
• Previous experience in cannabis retail management or similar retail leadership roles.
• Strong knowledge of cannabis products, strains, and consumption methods.
• Familiarity with local and state regulations governing cannabis sales.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven track record of effective team management and leadership.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, evolving industry and regulatory landscape.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in using point-of-sale (POS) systems and other relevant software.
