We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Part-Time Retail Cannabis Store Keyholder to join our team. This role is vital in ensuring smooth store operations, delivering excellent customer service, and supporting management in daily activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, retail experience, and a comprehensive understanding of store procedures. As a keyholder, you will be responsible for opening and closing the store, and maintaining compliance with all regulations related to cannabis retail. Duties

  • Open and close the store according to established procedures, ensuring security protocols are followed
  • Assist customers with product selection, providing knowledgeable guidance on cannabis products and accessories
  • Manage daily store operations including inventory control, stock replenishment, and merchandising
  • Oversee cash handling, POS transactions, and maintain accurate financial records
  • Supervise staff members, including training new employees and providing ongoing development opportunities
  • Ensure compliance with all state and local regulations related to cannabis sales and store policies
  • Conduct inventory management tasks such as ordering products, tracking stock levels, and performing audits
  • Handle customer inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and excellent communication skills
  • Support store managers initiatives to promote the store’s brand and product offerings
  • Assist in implementing sales strategies to meet or exceed sales goals

In addition;

Responsibilities:

Customer Service Excellence: Greet and assist customers with product inquiries, provide expert guidance, and ensure a positive shopping experience.

Inventory Management: Help manage inventory levels, restocking shelves, and monitoring product quality.

Cash Handling: Accurately handle cash transactions, reconcile registers, and assist in opening and closing the store.

Team Leadership: Lead by example, motivating and guiding the retail team to achieve sales targets and maintain store cleanliness.

Compliance: Ensure strict compliance with all local and state regulations related to cannabis sales and safety.

Product Knowledge: Stay up-to-date on the latest cannabis products, strains, and industry trends to provide informed recommendations to customers.

Security: Assist in maintaining store security, including monitoring surveillance systems and adherence to store policies.

Experience

  • Prior supervisory experience in retail sales or similar environment is preferred
  • Experience but not a requirement, with inventory management systems, POS systems, and retail math principles
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting
  • Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus
  • Knowledge of cannabis products, industry regulations, and retail operations is desirable but not mandatory
  • Proven ability to handle cash handling responsibilities accurately and responsibly
  • Previous experience in grocery stores or other retail environments involving merchandising, stocking, and customer service is advantageous

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of retail or customer service experience.
  • Strong knowledge and passion for cannabis products and culture.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to mentor and motivate a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and regulated environment.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.

Job Type: Full-time/ Part-time

Expected hours: 20-32 per week
