Then La Montañita Food Cooperative wants you as its next Scanning Clerk!! We are seeking an individual that is detail oriented and able to research and resolve issues quickly and professionally.
The Scanning Clerk is responsible for the ensuring pricing integrity throughout the entire store. Assisting on the implementation and coordination of all price changes, hang labels and ad signs, and perform other key responsibilities throughout the day. Providing internal and external customer service and being able to communicate with all levels of team members are keys to success in this role.
Other responsibilities include, but limited to, are the following:
- Frequent price checks on product and promotional audits after change overs.
- Print shelf tags for new items, tag requests, price changes and promotional signs.
- Identify problems within the department and either solve them or bring forth the problem to the Store Team Leader or Scanning Director for resolution including system and Catapult issues.
- Monitors sales events for accuracy in scanning and signage; maintains current knowledge of weekly ad items and ensures pricing integrity.
- Check dates of price tags to determine the accuracy of prices and accurately making signs as needed.
Some general qualification, but not limited to, include:
- Ability to multi-task, and be flexible in completing job duties while adhering to deadlines.
- Strong computer skills including the use of Microsoft Office platforms and databases with an aptitude to learning new programs. Experience with Catapult and POS Software is a plus.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail a must with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Excellent time management, organization, and customer service (internal/external) skills.
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills and able to communicate with individuals of diverse background.
- Ability to adhere and follow safety and wellness guidelines. Safety Conscious and adhering to required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) is required.
