What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warranty Parts Return Clerk (19680) position at LA MESA RV INC?
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Receive and track all warranty return parts from technicians.
- Catalog all parts as they come into warranty return area.
- Communicate with warranty departments to determine part return requisitions.
- Take pictures of the returned part and upload to the warranty picture server.
- Package and create shipping labels for parts return.
- Create and maintain a warranty tracker with parts information, tracking number, return date and any other relevant information.
- Ship parts to manufacturer.
- Discard returned parts that don’t require shipping to manufacturer.
- Label and shelf warranty return parts.
- Ensure all warranty parts are rotated in 30- or 60-days intervals.
- Communicate effectively with manufacturer regarding warranty parts.
- Ensure warranty parts are logged and shipped in a timely manner.
- Provide coverage and/or assistance for other service & warranty staff if needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Requires ability to hear and speak.
- Requires the ability to work outside of normal business hours or on weekends to meet deadlines on occasion.
- Requires prolonged sitting for up to 8 hours.
- Requires ability to climb or balance, kneel or stoop occasionally.
- Require ability to safely operate equipment with or without assistance.
- Requires ability to visually observes the conditions of surroundings.
- Requires ability to stoop, bend, reach, lift and carry items between 20 and 55lbs often.
- Requires ability to work in varying extreme hot, cold, and wet temperatures on occasion.

Experience and Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of parts warranty and service.
- 1 year of warranty experience.
- 1-3 years in RV or automotive field.
