La Mesa Flooring is looking to expand our East County team. As a long-established and trusted flooring company in San Diego, we’re excited to welcome a personable and organized Part-Time Showroom Assistant to our team.
Position Overview:
The Part-Time Flooring Showroom Assistant will help customers explore flooring options, maintain a polished showroom environment, and support our sales team.. This position is based in our La Mesa showroom, and requires someone who enjoys working with people and creating a welcoming retail experience.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service & Sales Support
- Greet and assist customers as they enter the showroom.
- Explain product differences and help customers choose between LVP, hardwood, carpet, tile, and laminate options.
- Pull samples, check out samples, and track returns accurately.
- Support the sales team by gathering product details, pricing, and inventory information.
Showroom Maintenance
- Keep the new San Marcos showroom clean, organized, and visually appealing.
- Restock sample displays, update labels, and remove discontinued products.
- Assist with layout updates, merchandising changes, and promotional setups.
Administrative Support
- Enter customer and lead information into the CRM system.
- Answer phone calls and schedule in-home measures or customer appointments.
- Communicate with the warehouse regarding sample stock, customer holds, or product availability.
General Operations
- Receive, unpack, and organize incoming samples and display materials.
- Handle light cleaning tasks such as sweeping, wiping surfaces, and organizing boards.
- Assist the sales team with any additional tasks that support smooth operations.
Skills & Qualifications
- Friendly, professional, and customer-service oriented.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift sample boards and stay active on your feet.
- Basic computer skills (email, CRM, POS helpful).
- Retail or showroom experience preferred, but not required.

- 2 Saturdays per month required (flexible weekday hours available)
