Role Description
This is a part-time on-site role for a medical assistant that will be able to float to multiple locations including Boynton Beach, Pam Beach Gardens and Jupiter FL, for a Podiatry/Primary Care Medical Assistant. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for assisting the provider with patient care, preparing medical records, and managing medical office tasks. Day-to-day tasks include taking patient histories, performing basic foot care procedures, and ensuring accurate documentation in medical records.
Qualifications
- Open and willing to assist with Primary care and Podiatry care
- Wound Care, assisting with nail procedures, cast and splint care
- Rooming patients, vitals, collecting history, medication reconciliations, injections, blood draws, etc
- Medical Assisting and Patient Care skills
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology
- Experience with Medical Records management
- Proficiency in Medical Office tasks
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Athena experience is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent required; certification in Medical Assisting is a plus
- Previous experience in a podiatry or medical office setting is beneficial
