We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Pre-K PE/Fitness Coach to lead engaging physical education and movement-based activities for preschool-aged children in a safe, positive, and inclusive environment.

Position Overview

The Pre-K PE/Fitness Coach is responsible for planning and delivering age-appropriate physical education classes that promote gross motor development, coordination, teamwork, confidence, and healthy fitness habits. The ideal candidate is passionate about working with young children and creating fun, active learning experiences that encourage movement, social interaction, and physical literacy.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging physical education, fitness, and movement programs for children ages 3-5.
• Teach fundamental motor skills, balance, coordination, agility, and basic sports concepts.
• Lead structured indoor and outdoor physical activities.
• Promote healthy lifestyle habits, physical wellness, and positive self-esteem.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for children of all abilities.
• Incorporate games, obstacle courses, music, dance, and movement activities into lessons.
• Monitor student participation, progress, and developmental milestones.
• Manage classroom behavior using positive guidance and encouragement.
• Ensure all activities comply with safety standards and school policies.
• Collaborate with teachers and administrators to support whole-child development.
• Inspect and maintain PE equipment and play areas.
• Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and staff regarding student participation and progress.
  
  
  

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience working with preschool, Pre-K, daycare, childcare, or elementary-aged children.
• Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate physical activities.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• Ability to lead groups of young children in an energetic and positive manner.
• Ability to lift, move, and actively participate in physical activities throughout the day.
  
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education, Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Early Childhood Education, Recreation, Sports Management, or related field.
• CPR, First Aid, and AED Certification.
• Experience teaching youth sports, gymnastics, dance, movement education, or fitness classes.
• Coaching, camp counseling, or children's recreation experience.
