POSITION: PRESCHOOL ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

OVERVIEW:
As the LJPCP Administrative Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in providing essential support to our Director, teachers, students, and families. Your multifaceted responsibilities will encompass a variety of administrative tasks, including managing preschool billing, maintaining up-to-date files, and creating engaging content using platforms such as Canva. Additionally, as our Admin Assistant, you will contribute to the seamless operation of our Preschool by maintaining organized and well-stocked classroom materials and storage areas.

OUR PRESCHOOL PHILOSOPHY:
We believe each child deserves a high-quality preschool education within a nurturing and developmentally appropriate Christian environment. We believe that children learn through play. Therefore, we create engaging environments and activities that inspire exploration and promote all areas of each child’s development. We believe a dynamic curriculum promotes this ideal in a fun, friendly, and supportive way that brings about yet-to-be-discovered gifts and talents among the children.
SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Registration:
- Create and update all fillable forms for preschool registration.
- Confirm information accuracy and complete the registration process.
- Compile and organize enrollment documents for each family.
- Maintain open communication with parents and the preschool director.
Before School Begins:
- Plan and organize upcoming special events.
- Create class lists and allergy lists.
- Set up emergency binders and EpiPen signage.
- Maintain Procare Connect for billing and monthly reports.
First Week of School:
- Act as a supportive presence in classrooms.
- Assist in creating emergency information cards.
- Contribute to setting up Welcome Coffee for parents.
Throughout the School Year:
- Manage administrative task lists and email correspondence.
- Organize office, large storage room, and teacher resource spaces.
- Coordinate and set up for monthly meetings and special events.
- Maintain all aspects of preschool billing and budgets.
WORK SCHEDULE:
- Monday ~ Friday, hours range from 8:00 am to 2:30 or 3:30 pm, up to 29 to 32 hours per week
- We closely follow the San Diego Unified School District Holiday Schedule (time off with partial pay)
- Our Preschool is currently closed during the summer (six weeks, time off without pay)
REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency in using Procare software, Canva, Google applications, and more.
- Ability to create and edit video and photo content using platforms like Canva.
- Maintaining the Preschool Website.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
