Part-Time School Security Officer — Dickson, TN

Pay: $21–$24 per hour, based on qualifications and experience

Position Overview

We are seeking professional, dependable, and safety-focused School Security Officers to provide security coverage at a school in the Dickson, Tennessee area.

This is a consistent part-time 1099 independent contractor position offering approximately 12–24 hours per week. We are especially interested in candidates with law enforcement, military, armed security, or other relevant protective-services experience.

Pay Scale

• $21/hour — Qualified Armed Security Officer: Valid Tennessee armed security credentials and relevant security experience.
• $22/hour — Experienced Armed Officer: Strong armed-security experience and demonstrated ability to work independently.
• $24/hour — Law Enforcement / Military: Current or former law enforcement or military experience with the required qualifications and credentials.

Final compensation will be based on qualifications, experience, credentials, and the needs of the assignment.

Required Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must possess a current and valid Tennessee armed security guard license/armed guard credential.
• Must be legally authorized and qualified to work as an armed security officer in Tennessee.
• Active Shooter Response/Active Shooter Certification required.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Meet all applicable Tennessee requirements for the position.
• Reliable transportation.
• Professional appearance and communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Law enforcement experience.
• Military experience.
• Strong armed-security experience.
• School or campus security experience.
• Emergency response or crisis-management training.
• Current or former law enforcement experience, subject to applicable department policies and requirements.
• CPR/AED/First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible and professional security presence.
• Monitor school property and help maintain a safe environment.
• Monitor access to the facility as directed.
• Respond appropriately to safety and security concerns.
• Report suspicious activity and security incidents.
• Assist school personnel during emergencies.
• Maintain professional communication with administrators, staff, students, and visitors.
• Complete required reports and documentation.
• Follow company and school security procedures.

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
