Responsibilities

• Lead classroom activities, ensuring they align with curriculum development standards and promote holistic child development.
• Supervise and mentor teaching staff, providing guidance on classroom management, behavior management, and instructional strategies.
• Design engaging lesson plans that incorporate literacy education, math skills, physical education, and Montessori methods where applicable.
• Foster strong communication with parents and guardians through regular updates on child progress and developmental milestones.
• Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and child welfare regulations to maintain a safe learning environment.
• Oversee classroom experience with children of various ages, including toddlers and preschoolers, ensuring adherence to early intervention practices.
• Implement best practices in childcare, early childhood education, and special education to support diverse learning needs.
• Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and supports child safety through first aid and CPR certification.

Experience

• Proven teaching experience working with young children in preschool or daycare settings.
• Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, literacy education, math instruction, and physical education for early learners.
• Experience managing classrooms with effective behavior management and classroom management techniques.
• Background in early childhood development instruction with a focus on childhood development milestones.
• Familiarity with special education strategies and early intervention programs for children with diverse needs.
• Strong communication skills to engage effectively with parents, staff, and community partners.
• Prior experience implementing Montessori or other specialized educational approaches is a plus.
• Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety regulations in childcare settings.
