Budtender Job Duties & Responsibilities I. Customer Service & Education (The Core Role) Greet and Welcome Customers: Provide a warm, professional, and friendly welcome to all customers and patients.ID Verification: Carefully check and verify the photo identification and/or medical cannabis card of every customer to ensure compliance with all state and local regulations, including age limits and purchase limits.Product Consultation & Recommendation: Engage with customers to understand their needs, preferences, and experience level (e.g., medical, recreational, novice, experienced).Provide personalized recommendations on strains (Indica, Sativa, Hybrid), products (flower, edibles, concentrates, vapes, etc.), and consumption methods.Cannabis Education: Educate customers on product effects, proper dosing, potential side effects, and safe consumption practices.Confidentiality: Maintain strict confidentiality regarding patient and customer information in accordance with privacy policies (like HIPAA where applicable).Handle Inquiries and Issues: Address customer questions, concerns, and complaints with patience and professionalism, escalating complex issues to management. II.
