Pay: $28–$40 per hour (based on experience)

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Occasional Saturdays by appointment.

Join a Growing Fleet Maintenance Team

L.A. Fleet Care is hiring an experienced Diesel Technician (Level 2) to join our growing fleet maintenance and repair team in Sun Valley, CA.

In this role, you'll perform diagnostics, preventive maintenance, inspections, and mechanical repairs on a variety of heavy-duty trucks and commercial fleet vehicles. We're looking for a technician who can work independently, produce quality repairs, and contribute to a team-focused shop environment.

Whether working in our shop or responding to mobile service calls, you'll play an important role in keeping our customers' fleets operating safely and efficiently.

What You'll Do

• Perform preventive maintenance (PM) services on heavy-duty trucks and fleet vehicles.
• Complete DOT and BIT inspections.
• Diagnose and repair diesel engines and mechanical systems.
• Service brake, suspension, steering, and drivetrain components.
• Diagnose and repair HVAC systems.
• Perform basic to intermediate electrical diagnostics.
• Diagnose and repair diesel aftertreatment systems (DPF, DEF, SCR).
• Use diagnostic equipment including scanners and multimeters.
• Perform mobile and roadside repairs as needed.
• Document repairs accurately and complete service reports.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  
  

What We're Looking For

• Experience repairing heavy-duty diesel trucks.
• Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures.
• Experience servicing air and hydraulic brake systems.
• Basic to intermediate electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience diagnosing HVAC systems.
• Working knowledge of DPF, DEF, and SCR systems.
• Comfortable using diagnostic software and testing equipment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and repair quality.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• CDL Class A (preferred, not required).
• OEM or factory training.
• Clean Truck Check certification.
• Experience with Peterbilt, Freightliner, Kenworth, Volvo, Mack, Isuzu, Ford, International, or similar truck brands.
• Welding experience.
• Hydraulics and liftgate repair experience.
