Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Membership Representative to join our team. This role involves engaging with prospective and current members to promote our services, build strong relationships, and drive membership growth. The ideal candidate will have a background in sales, business development, or account management, with a focus on B2B and retail sales. Sales force, along with excellent negotiation and customer service skills, is essential. The Membership Representative will play a vital role in expanding our client base through strategic territory management, lead generation, and effective product demonstrations.
Duties
- Conduct outside and inside sales activities to attract new members and retain existing ones
- Manage territory sales and develop strategies for lead generation and business development
- Perform product demos to showcase membership benefits and features
- Engage in cold calling, follow-up communications, and direct sales efforts to meet targets
- Utilize Guesttracker to track interactions, manage accounts, and analyze sales data
- Upsell additional services or memberships to maximize customer value
- Negotiate terms with clients to close deals effectively
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
- Collaborate with management on sales strategies and territory expansion plans
- Maintain detailed records of sales activities and customer interactions for analysis and reporting
Experience
- Proven experience in outside sales, B2B sales, or account management within a competitive environment
- Strong background in management, business development, or territory management preferred
- Familiarity with CRM software such as Salesforce or similar platforms is highly desirable
- Demonstrated success in lead generation, cold calling, and direct sales techniques
- Excellent negotiation skills coupled with strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Experience in retail sales or technical sales is a plus
- Ability to analyze market data and develop effective sales strategies
- Prior experience in product demos, upselling, and customer relationship building is advantageous
