We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to maintain cleanliness and safety across our facilities. Prior janitorial or custodial experience, including floor care and industrial cleaning, is highly valued. Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal across all areas of the facility
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, offices, and common areas to meet health and safety standards
- Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, polishing, and carpet cleaning using appropriate equipment
- Handle custodial tasks related to industrial or commercial cleaning environments
- Assist with light maintenance tasks including minor repairs and facility upkeep
- Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and properly stored
- Follow safety protocols during all cleaning procedures to prevent accidents or injuries
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly
Qualifications
- Proven experience in janitorial services, custodial work, or related fields such as commercial or industrial cleaning
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing and polishing
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment and supplies used in residential, commercial, or industrial settings
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to safety standards
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks which may include lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and operating cleaning machinery
- Prior experience in facilities maintenance or porter roles is a plus
- Reliable work ethic with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
Pay: From $16.50 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 39.0 per week
