Duties
- Perform comprehensive cleaning duties across various areas including floors, restrooms, offices, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies
- Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing to ensure surfaces remain pristine and well-maintained
- Execute industrial cleaning tasks in large facilities or warehouses to uphold safety standards and cleanliness
- Assist with custodial responsibilities like trash removal, dusting, window washing, and restocking supplies
- Support facilities maintenance by reporting repairs needed for fixtures or equipment and assisting with minor upkeep tasks
- Maintain a high standard of hygiene by following established cleaning procedures and safety protocols
- Use commercial cleaning tools effectively while adhering to health and safety guidelines
Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial services with a focus on commercial or industrial environments
- Strong knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing
- Ability to operate cleaning machinery such as floor buffers and extractors confidently
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to thoroughness in all cleaning tasks
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance procedures and basic repair reporting
- Good physical stamina for standing, bending, lifting, and moving equipment throughout shifts
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and report issues promptly
