Duties
- Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on diverse fitness equipment including treadmills, ellipticals, bikes, and strength machines
- Use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters to accurately identify electrical issues and ensure proper functioning
- Conduct preventive maintenance to extend the lifespan of equipment and minimize downtime
- Document all service activities thoroughly, including repairs performed, parts replaced, and diagnostics conducted
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding service procedures, maintenance tips, and safety instructions
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety standards at all times
- Collaborate with team members to share technical knowledge and improve service processes
Requirements
- Proven experience in repairing electrical or mechanical equipment; experience with fitness or gym equipment is a plus
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing and troubleshooting
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly diagnose issues and implement effective solutions
- Excellent communication skills to explain technical details clearly to customers of varying backgrounds
- Ability to lift heavy equipment parts safely and work in physically demanding environments
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications related to electronics or mechanical repair are preferred
