What are the responsibilities and job description for the Full-Time Gym Cleaner position at LA Fitness (Esporta Fitness/Fitness International)?
LA Fitness is looking for a dependable and hardworking individual to join our janitorial team.
This position is responsible for helping maintain a clean, sanitary, and welcoming environment throughout the gym for our members and staff.
Weekly Schedule (40 hours)
Monday-Friday: 5:00 AM to 2:00 PM
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize locker rooms, bathrooms, showers, and common areas
- Clean gym floors, hallways, stairways, and other facility areas
- Empty trash and replace liners
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and spot-clean as needed
- Wipe down and sanitize surfaces throughout the facility
- Refill paper products, soap, and other supplies
- Help keep locker rooms clean and organized throughout the shift
- Clean glass, mirrors, counters, sinks, and fixtures
- Assist with picking up and organizing weights and gym equipment as needed
- Complete routine cleaning assignments and additional cleaning projects as directed by management

- Able to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform physical cleaning tasks throughout the shift
- Willing to assist wherever cleaning or upkeep is needed
Previous janitorial, housekeeping, custodial, commercial cleaning, or basic maintenance experience is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right person.
