La Fermiere Warehouse Associate

The Warehouse Associate will work directly with the distribution manager and production team providing in-house logistical support, constructing orders, shipping and receiving. An ideal candidate will have excellent basic math skills, deductive reasoning, attention to detail and the ability to react quickly to changes in day-to-day operations. You will have several tasks that vary in priority throughout the workday. Being able to identify the rhythms within a flexible in-house logistics role such as this requires high pattern recognition, the ability to anticipate what comes next and understanding process flow to maximize efficiency.
The duties of this role include, but are not limited to:
- Constructing pallets per customer order – ensuring accuracy and efficiency
- Loading and unloading tractor trailers
- Working in the cooler with PPE in cold temperatures
- Operating forklifts and powered equipment
- In-house logistics – utilizing scanner and other devices to complete inventory and orders
- General housekeeping
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Experience in warehouse/manufacturing settings
- Experience utilizing PDA's or tablets to scan for orders or assist with inventory/ERP
- Familiarity with powered equipment such as; electric pallet jacks, forklifts or reach trucks. (We provide certification training in-house)
- Regularly lift more than 30 pounds without assistance
- Able to climb, bend, reach, and stretch for extended periods of time
- The ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with teammates
Preferred Qualifications:
- Forklift Certified
- Microsoft Office experience
- Understanding of logistics and the role it plays within an organization
