Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm, providing detailed descriptions of dishes and beverages.
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted and communicated effectively to the kitchen.
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude, supporting guest needs throughout their visit.
- Upsell menu items and beverages to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities.
- Manage cash handling, process payments accurately, and operate cashiering systems with precision.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables promptly and assisting with food handling and preparation when needed.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and uphold food safety standards.
- Use reservation platforms like OpenTable to manage bookings and optimize seating arrangements for maximum guest satisfaction.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and fostering positive guest relations.
- Support other restaurant operations such as food prep, sanitation, or host/hostess duties during busy periods or staff shortages.
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant experience or food service background is preferred; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus.
- Proficiency with POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS; familiarity with OpenTable is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally.
- Demonstrated time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours.
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining genuine guest interactions.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and transaction processing.
