Job Summary
As a Guest Services Associate, you'll be the welcoming face of La Crosse Queen Cruises. You'll assist guests with ticket purchases, answer questions, process check-ins, capture memorable guest photos, and help maintain our retail and concession operations.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, thrives in customer-facing roles, and takes pride in delivering exceptional service. No two days are exactly alike, and you'll have the opportunity to meet people from all over the country while working in one of the most unique locations in La Crosse.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Sell cruise tickets, souvenirs, concessions, and merchandise.
- Process guest check-ins and provide cruise information.
- Take and sell souvenir photos of guests before and after cruises.
- Operate cash registers and point-of-sale systems accurately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked ticket office.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, including cash reconciliation.
- Support vessel arrivals and departures by assisting with docking operations as directed.
- Answer guest questions and provide exceptional customer service.
- Work collaboratively with crew members to ensure smooth daily operations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Customer service, hospitality, retail, tourism, or related experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable standing, walking, and working outdoors for extended periods.
- Ability to interact professionally with guests from diverse backgrounds.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
Bonus Opportunity
Employees who remain through the season will receive an additional $0.50 per hour worked, paid as an end-of-season bonus.
