JOB REQUIREMENTS: As a Nurse Technician, you\'ll assist with nursing
care and help create a safe, supportive environment for residents.
You\'ll provide direct care, administer medications and treatments under
RN supervision, and play an important role in each resident\'s plan of
care. This position offers meaningful nursing experience while you
complete your education. Location: Hillview Health Care Center Schedule:
AM Shift \| 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM \| Every other weekend & holiday rotation
Pay scale: \$22.10 per hour shift differentials Status: Irregular
Part-time (less than 40 hours per pay period) As part of nursing care
team, assists in formulating and carrying out a plan of care that meets
the residents\' holistic needs in accordance with nursing home policies
and procedures. \[2\] Under supervision of a registered nurse, provides
direct nursing care including administering medications and treatments.
\[1\] Provides for the safety and wellbeing of the resident in
accordance with nursing home policies and procedures. \[2\] Serves as
liaison between resident and RN in charge of resident\'s care.
Communicates appropriate resident information to RN. \[2\] Carries out
physician\'s orders under the direction of a RN. Seeks clarication when
communication/directions are not clear. \[2\] Carries out assigned
duties promptly, safely and accurately. \[2\] Seeks appropriate
assistance in solving clinical problems. \[2\] Works safely and follows
safety practices and standards of the facility; responsible for
reporting or correcting any existing or potential safety or accident
hazard. \[2\] Maintains residents\' rights and condentiality of resident
information; reports all suspected cases of resident abuse to the
Administrator. \[3\] Employee is expected to report to work when
scheduled, with minimum use of sick leave, to build up sick leave
balance for income protection for unexpected illness. \[3\] In this
public service position, employee is required to be courteous,
cooperative and respectful at all times, with the public and clients.
Establishes and maintains a courteous, cooperative and respectful
working relationship with other employees, supervisors and public
ocials. \[3\] Physical demands: Uses near vision, stands, walks and
moves around the facility 6.5 to 7 hours of an 8-hour shift. Uses hands
for delivering personal care and treatments. Communicates with residents
and other sta members using talking and hearing. Read and write English.
Bends and stoops to a squat within six inches of the oor, pushes and
pulls linen carts, wheelchairs with residents weighing up to 250 pounds
or more. Lifts 60 pounds. Uses nursing-related equipment such as
thermometer, blood pressure device, scales, mechanical lifts and
adaptive/restorative equipment. Uses nursing related equipment.
