Web and Search Engine Technical Director (Base Commission)

The Job: Develop, Optimize, and Earn
We're hiring an experienced, focused Website Developer who loves building websites that not only look great but also perform exceptionally well in search results. This position offers a solid base salary plus commission, perfect for a developer who is also motivated to contribute to business growth and client acquisition.
While this job is fully remote, we highly prefer candidates based in the New Orleans area.
You'll start with a 90-day introductory plan. During the 90-day period, you will only be paid per project. After the 90-days has been completed, there will be a performance review that will discuss further pay.
What You'll Be Doing
- Build and maintain responsive, high-quality sites across platforms like WordPress, and Shopify.
- Handle all SEO implementation (Search Engine Optimization) during development to make sure every new site gets maximum visibility.
- Take design files (like those from Figma) and turn them into clean, functioning websites.
- Work closely with our marketing and design teams to keep client brand messaging consistent.
- Help identify sales opportunities and assist in growth efforts, this is how you earn your commission.
- Manage your own time effectively, maintain a structured schedule, and meet project deadlines consistently.
- Communicate clearly and directly with the team and management.
What You Need to Bring
- Proven experience working as a Website Developer.
- Very experienced in a high performing website.
- Must have experience in directing copywriter and graphics team for the best SEO performing site.
- Strong, practical knowledge of SEO best practices and on-page tactics is a must.
- Experience using Figma or similar tools to work with design mockups.
- Expertise in WordPress development is required.
- Familiarity with platforms like Shopify is a big plus.
- You must be highly organized, computer literate, and able to work independently.
- A strong portfolio showing off your best web design and development projects.
Compensation & Schedule
- Pay Structure: Base Salary Plus Commission.
- (Note: Specific pay details will be discussed during the interview process.)
- Schedule: Full-time, standard work hours, Monday through Friday. We need someone who can be flexible when project demands require it.
Education & Location
- Education: A Bachelor's Degree is helpful, but we value equivalent, hands-on experience just as much.
