La Creare Schools is seeking a dynamic, experienced, and mission-driven Assistant Director to support the academic, operational, and cultural leadership of our school community. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative leader with a strong background in early childhood and elementary education preferred, committed to excellence, compliance, and the holistic development of students and staff. Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or related.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an educational leadership, instructional coaching, or administrative role
- Strong knowledge of Florida Early Learning Standards, VPK requirements, Step Up for Students, Florida Health Department Food Program, and DCF licensing regulations
- Proven leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, families, and school leadership
- Spanish fluency is required
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Head of School in the daily operations and overall management of the school
- Assist in overseeing instructional quality and curriculum implementation aligned with Florida standards (VPK and/or elementary)
- Provide guidance, mentoring, and instructional support to teaching staff to promote professional growth and excellence
- Ensure compliance with Florida DCF licensing, health and safety regulations, and accreditation requirements
- Support teacher observations, evaluations, and professional development initiatives
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing school culture for students, staff, and families
- Assist with family engagement, school events, addressing parent concerns professionally and collaboratively
- Support enrollment, onboarding, and retention of students and staff as needed
- Step in as acting Head of School when required
