What You’ll Do
As a WIC Nutrition Coordinator, you’ll support high-quality nutrition services in accordance with State WIC policies and USDA Nutrition Services Standards. Key responsibilities include:
Conduct participant-centered nutrition assessments using VENA
Identify and document nutrition risks; provide follow-up for high-risk participants
Assign and tailor WIC food packages
Provide individualized nutrition education, including breastfeeding support
Interpret growth patterns and lab trends
Support participant goal-setting and make referrals to health and social services
Document all nutrition services per WIC standards
Assist with intake, phone support, anthropometrics, and blood work as needed
Ensure compliance with Noble and State WIC policies; complete required competency trainings
What We’re Looking For
Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN), registered with CDR, and Certified Dietitian (CD) in Wisconsin
Bachelor’s degree in a nutrition-related field with 2 years of experience, or master’s/doctoral degree with 1 year of experience
Ability to pass the WIC Nutritionist competency assessment within 1 year
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required
Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Ability to work effectively with participants, colleagues, and community partners
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Valid Wisconsin Driver’s License and ability to meet requirements to operate a company vehicle
