Job Description

Verifies and posts transactions to journals, ledgers and other records. Maintains current vendor files, issuance of non-taxable transaction certificates, W-9's and helps with fixed asset listing. Under general supervision performs various clerical and routine accounting tasks in support of the finance department.

Core Competencies

• Basic accounting practices, principles, and Fund Accounting.
• Ability to analyze and solve problems.
• Knowledge of accounts payable principles and/or procedures.
• Ability to use an automated accounting system.
• Basic data entry and or word processing skills.
• Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork.
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Office programs and accounting programs (Abila preferred).
• Ability to maintain effective working relationships with all employees and groups.
• High attention to detail and high organizational skills.
• Excellent math skills.
• Basic knowledge of General Ledger.
• Good communication skills; verbal and written.
  
  

Job Requirements

• High school diploma with three-years of experience in accounting or related field.
