What are the responsibilities and job description for the Scheduler position at La Cava Jacobson & Goodis?
Coordinating, scheduling, and calendaring of hearings, mediations, depositions, conferences, site inspections, and other case-related events for the Practice Group.
Draft/prepare documents associated with scheduling tasks for the Practice Group including, but not limited to, Notices, Orders, Notices of Cancellation, Subpoenas for Deposition.
Responsible for submitting all documents associated with scheduling tasks for the Practice Group including court filings and submissions through the Florida E-Filing Portal, E-Courtesy, E-Service, JAWS, CM/ECF, and services and submission to opposing counsel.
Maintain attorney’s calendar related to the scheduling of hearings, mediations, depositions, conferences, site inspections, and other case-related events for the Practice Group.
Communicate and transmit via correspondence/email from opposing counsel, vendors, clients, the Court, etc.
Answer general phone calls for the firm and communicate professionally with opposing counsel, clients, and vendors.
Ability to provide legal assistant in support of the attorneys within the Practice Group.
Efficiently and thoroughly understand how to use all necessary Firm software.

- High school diploma from an accredited institution. College Degree preferred.
- Minimum of three - five years of experience required.
