Job Description:
The BIP Facilitator and Compliance Specialist is responsible for delivering trauma-informed services to participants of the Batterer Intervention Program (BIP). This position encompasses group facilitation, participant compliance monitoring, detailed reporting, and partnership collaboration. The role also includes conducting assessments, completing offender intervention plans, and supporting agency-wide initiatives to promote domestic violence prevention and advocacy.
Hours: As assigned, some evening, weekends and off hours are required

Starting Salary: $17.00/hr.
Services:
- Facilitate group sessions for the Behavior Intervention Program (BIP) using trauma-informed principles.
- Establish and write the initial Offender Intervention Service Plan (OISP) prior to participant orientation and ensure facilitators have copies before class begins.
- Conduct quarterly OISP reviews with participants during scheduled class days, including weekends as needed.
- Conduct intake assessments and provide referrals as appropriate.
- Administer the Ontario Domestic Violence Risk Assessment (ODARA) lethality tool for eligible participants.
- Provide program orientations for new participants, as assigned.
- Track attendance, payment, and compliance for group participants.
- Write and upload progress notes while maintaining billing logs, ensuring adherence to submittal deadlines.
- Prepare and submit monthly status reports for referral entities such as courts, probation offices, and child protective services by the 15th of each month.
- Report participant progress to courts and other mandating agencies through affidavits and completion reports.
- Observe court hearings for training purposes and distribute program brochures to stakeholders.
- Conduct educational presentations on domestic violence and assist with community outreach events.
- Provide empathetic guidance, motivation, and encouragement to participants, adhering to trauma-informed practices.
Partnerships and Collaborations:
- Cultivate relationships with community providers, including the District Attorney’s Office, courts, probation offices, and law enforcement.
- Ensure timely preparation and distribution of compliance and non-compliance reports for courts and referral entities.
- Participate in marketing and outreach strategies to educate stakeholders on domestic violence and program services.
- Assist in coordinating and facilitating trainings for judicial and community partners
Administrative Duties:
- Compile data and maintain accurate and organized client files.
- Participate in file reviews and ensure compliance with funder documentation requirements, including terminated files for annual recertification.
- Submit data for monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as part of the team.
- Assist in the preparation of departmental reports and oversee interns and volunteers, as assigned.
Training and Development:
- Complete and maintain ODARA certification.
- Stay informed on best practices in offender intervention and domestic violence advocacy.
- Attend staff meetings, in-service trainings, and quarterly BIP specialized trainings.
- Pursue professional development opportunities as required by DVOTI Standards and recommended by the supervisor.
Additional duties:
- Participate in agency-wide events, such as National Domestic Violence Awareness Month (NDVAM) and the Holiday Bazaar.
- Support other agency functions, including donations area assistance, front office coverage, and childcare, as needed.
- Conduct service assessments and other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:
- Education: Associate degree in Criminal Justice, Social Work, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of two years of case management experience with a diverse population (volunteer or paid).
- Substitution: Equivalent education/experience substitution allowed on a one-for-one-year basis.
- Language: Bilingual in Spanish/English is highly desirable.
- Licenses/Certifications: Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record; ODARA certification (post-hire).
- Other: Post-offer drug/alcohol screen, TB test, and background check.
Work Environment:
- Primarily sedentary work in an indoor, temperature-controlled environment.
- Frequent interactions with staff and clients; requires clear verbal communication.
- Involves occasional light lifting (up to 25 lbs.), walking and standing.
