Overview
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, and installations across the community, ensuring all mechanical systems and appliances operate smoothly. Your expertise will help create a safe, functional, and comfortable environment for our residents.
Responsibilities
- Conduct appliance repair, installation, and routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance of household and community appliances
- Diagnose and repair mechanical systems including HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) units and other mechanical equipment
- Read schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex issues effectively
- Perform maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) tasks on various equipment and systems throughout the community
- Assist with construction projects or upgrades as needed to improve community facilities
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from residents or management to resolve issues efficiently
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a service technician with a strong background in appliance repair and mechanical systems repair
- Knowledge of HVAC/R systems, refrigeration, air conditioning, and related equipment
- Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams accurately
- Construction experience or familiarity with building systems is a plus
- Strong knowledge with hands-on experience in remodeling, repair and installation
- Leadership qualities to coordinate tasks effectively within a team environment
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to maintenance challenges
