What are the responsibilities and job description for the Musician Teacher position at La Belle Rose Music Center?
Key Responsibilities
- Curriculum & Instruction: Develop and implement age-appropriate music lessons (instrumental, general music) aligned with standards, using diverse methods for various learning styles.
- Performance: Plan, chearse, and direct school concerts, recitals, and community performances (band, orchestra) as requested by the administration of the school.
- Classroom Management: Create an orderly, positive, and inclusive environment, managing student behavior according to school policy.
- Assessment: Evaluate student progress, provide feedback, maintain records, and report to parents.
- Collaboration: Work with other teachers, administrators, and parents; participate in staff meetings and school events.
- Technology: Utilize technology (Google Apps, student info systems, music software) to enhance leaming and communication.
- Resource Management: Manage music supplies, instruments, and inventory as instructed and requested by the administration of the school.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: High school diploma with experts knowledge in instrument of choice, Music Education or related field.
- Certification: State certification or eligibility a plus.
- Musical Skills: Proficiency in playing instruments, theory.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication (written/verbal), patience, and ability to build rapport.
- Organizational Skills: Strong time management and organizational abilities.
- Tech Proficieney: Competence with common educational technology.
