Role Description
L7 Construction, Inc. is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Superintendent (Water/Wastewater) with strong industry experience to oversee upgrades to water and wastewater treatment facilities in the Melbourne, Florida area. The Superintendent will provide daily onsite leadership and supervision of all field personnel, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications and regulatory requirements. This role requires strong knowledge of piping, mechanical, and concrete work specific to the water/wastewater industry, as well as the ability to plan ahead, resolve issues collaboratively with the project team, and maintain high standards for safety, quality, schedule, cost control, and owner satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage construction projects focused on water and wastewater infrastructure, including treatment plants, pipelines, and system improvements.
- Communicate effectively with vendors and subcontractors.
- Drive construction projects to completion with strong attention to detail.
- Ensure teams and job sites adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols.
- Oversee daily field operations.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and lead project meetings.
- Effectively manage budgets and project deadlines.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve project issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred; equivalent professional experience accepted.
- Strong knowledge of water/wastewater systems, treatment plants, and associated construction processes.
- Ability to train, mentor, and develop field personnel.
- Proven track record of managing projects from start to finish while staying on schedule and within budget.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work effectively with field teams, clients, and subcontractors.
- Ability to solve problems quickly and make sound decisions under pressure.
