Job Description:
The L3Harris Organization Designation Organization (ODA) is looking for a self-motivated, high-energy individual to join our team. This position requires strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate must have the ability and willingness to work in a team environment. This position reports to the Manager of the Airworthiness Project Lead group.
Essential Functions:
- Works on multi-function and multi-disciplinary teams to achieve company and customer goals
- Creates and reviews FAA and Military project certification plans
- Creates and reviews FAA and Military project compliance reports
- Tracks and reports certification project status and budgets
- Works to influence others to accept practices, concepts and approaches to show compliance to FAA regulations and military airworthiness criteria
- Communicates with parties within and outside of the organization, which includes customers or vendors
- Requires ability to communicate and influence leadership regarding matters of importance to the ODA
- Participates in process improvement initiatives and offers ideas for aspects of the ODA and company business that need improvement
Job Qualification Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. An equivalent combination of education may also be considered. A degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline is preferred.
- Experience with aircraft system design and integration
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Existing DoD SECRET Security Clearance
- Experience with FAA and Military airworthiness certification
- Experience with leading multi-disciplinary teams
