Job Description:
This is an Inventory Management Support position in support of manufacturing operations. Candidate must be capable of performing all physical or administrative tasks involved in the receiving, storing, shipping, and/or distribution of materials, parts, supplies and equipment. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with a cross-functional team. Opportunities are available in the stockroom and shipping across various shifts.
Essential Functions:
- Receiving and inducting parts.
- Maintaining accurate counts of parts through processes such as cycle counts and location audits.
- Picking and delivering parts through a variety of different types of picks, as well as completing work orders for kitted jobs that will run on the factory floor.
- Using machinery such as forklifts, waves, pallet jacks and tuggers to move material safely from one place to another.
- Tearing down parts from machines and inducting parts back into stock.
- Responsible for the receiving docks by receiving inventory and directing it to the correct locations.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years’ work experience in inventory management or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years’ work experience in inventory management.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Inventory Management Support experience in L3Harris stockroom/shipping operations, processes and locations
- Previous receiving experience unpacking goods received against purchase orders or invoices
- Ability to maintain records of received goods, rejecting unsatisfactory items where necessary
- Experience using Oracle and AWL
- Able to operate a forklift upon receipt of internal certification
- Perform tasks using a ladder with possible heights up to 10ft
- Ability to stand for 85% of hourly shift (shifts are either 10 or 12 hours); capable of bending, twisting and lifting up to 25lbs
