Job Description:
Employee is responsible for performing a wide variety of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly operations which may include skilled hand work or utilizing automated production equipment. Comprehends and interprets a variety of technical specifications, terms and documents. Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering and cable harnessing on assembly units. Makes setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications.

Essential Functions:
- Assemble various electronic devices and harnesses using drawings, work instructions, operation sheets, and / or schematics.
- Perform trouble-shooting tasks as required.
- Maintain accurate records and manufacturing documentation
- Present objective evidence to Quality Assurance that tasks were completed to all specifications.
- Observe industry best practices for FOD, ESD, and material handling controls.
- Ensure that all shop instruments used are within calibration due dates.
- Fabricate shop aids and fixtures, as required.
- Set-up and operate various pieces of shop equipment as required to accomplish assembly tasks.
- Mix and apply various sealants and adhesives and ensure shelf-life integrity.
- Promote and facilitate lean manufacturing principles within an environment of continuous improvement.
- Ability to obtain a US security clearance.
Qualifications:
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
