Responsibilities The Associate's primary responsibility will be to support all types of financial analysis regarding acquisitions, asset management, business planning, and portfolio strategy of various investments. The position comprises a high level of accountability and presents the unique opportunity to work with senior level management, major institutional investors, and market leading operational partners. Specific responsibilities include:
- Perform complex financial analyses for underwriting acquisitions.
- Assist with the presentation and preparation of all investment memoranda to the firm’s Investment Committee.
- Collaborate with the firm's Principals, JV partners, and service providers to assist in all stages of an investment lifecycle including initial deal sourcing through disposition.
- Manage asset business plans and assist with property-level reporting including cash forecasting, capex reporting, and loan administration.
- Support the preparation of annual budgeting, reforecasting, and reporting including all quarterly investor and internal reporting.
- Perform financial, leasing, and development analyses to assist in strategic decisions.
- Monitor asset performance and recommend strategies to maximize value and returns.
- Execute special projects and job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications Candidates must possess superior analytical, communication, and research skills along with the following credentials and competencies:
- 2 to 3 years of applicable experience, preferably in real estate investment capacity with specific exposure to retail.
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Finance, or Economics.
- Advanced proficiency in Argus Enterprise, Excel, Claude, and PowerPoint.
- Proactive mindset with a strong desire to succeed in an entrepreneurial environment.
- Extremely well organized, with the ability to effectively multitask and balance a large workload while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Creative thinker capable of drawing independent conclusions.
- Ability to communicate effectively with senior management and external providers.
- Thorough understanding of core real estate concepts.
- Competency and professionalism with social media platforms – LinkedIn, Instagram.
