Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Personal Injury Attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong litigation and client-management skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to represent Spanish- and English-speaking clients throughout the personal injury process.
The attorney will manage a personal injury caseload from initial case evaluation through settlement or litigation, while providing clients with responsive, compassionate, and knowledgeable legal representation.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and manage personal injury cases, including automobile accidents, premises liability, and other injury claims.
- Conduct client consultations and assess the merits and potential value of claims.
- Communicate effectively with clients, insurance companies, opposing counsel, medical providers, and other parties.
- Develop case strategies and negotiate settlements with insurance carriers and defense counsel.
- Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery, demand packages, correspondence, and settlement agreements.
- Conduct and defend depositions as appropriate.
- Participate in mediations, hearings, and court proceedings.
- Prepare cases for trial and provide courtroom representation when necessary.
- Review medical records, bills, reports, and other case-related documentation.
- Maintain accurate case files and meet all applicable deadlines.
- Work collaboratively with paralegals, legal assistants, case managers, and other members of the legal team.
- Provide regular case updates and maintain strong client relationships.
- Represent clients professionally and ethically in accordance with applicable rules of professional conduct.
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in good standing with The Florida Bar.
- Licensed and authorized to practice law in the State of Florida.
- Fluent in both Spanish and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
- Experience handling personal injury matters preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Florida personal injury law and civil procedure.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, writing, and courtroom skills.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
- Professional, client-focused approach with strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a legal team.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years of personal injury experience.
- Experience managing a personal injury caseload from intake through resolution.
- Litigation and trial experience.
- Experience negotiating with insurance carriers and defense counsel.
- Familiarity with Florida's personal injury laws, statutes, and court procedures.
- Experience representing Spanish-speaking clients in personal injury matters.
Salary : $100,000 - $140,000
