NOC Engineer I (Hybrid – Key West, FL)
Location: Key West, FL (Hybrid – 2 days onsite, 3 days remote)
Type: 3-Month Contract (possible 3-month extension)
About the Role:
We’re seeking a NOC Engineer I to join our client’s IT operations team supporting enterprise network infrastructure across South Florida. This hybrid position is based in Key West, with 2 days onsite and 3 days remote work each week.
You’ll assist with the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of LAN/WAN environments, routing, switching, and firewall systems, primarily using Cisco Meraki and Cisco network technologies. This is an excellent opportunity for an entry- to mid-level network professional to gain experience within a collaborative enterprise environment.
Note: A 1-week onsite training in Key West is required. All travel expenses will be covered (flight, lodging, and per diem).
Responsibilities:
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot LAN/WAN network infrastructure
- Support Cisco Meraki and Cisco switches, routers, and firewalls
- Monitor network performance, availability, and security compliance
- Resolve connectivity, routing, and performance issues
- Assist with network upgrades, firmware updates, and change control
- Maintain accurate network diagrams, documentation, and inventory records
- Implement and support routing protocols (OSPF, BGP) and VLAN segmentation
- Work closely with senior engineers to manage network capacity and security
- Provide onsite support twice weekly for physical network maintenance or installations
What You Bring:
- 2–3 years of experience in network engineering or network operations
- Hands-on experience with Cisco and/or Cisco Meraki environments
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, subnetting, routing, VLANs, and firewalls
- Proficiency in troubleshooting network hardware and performance issues
- Understanding of VPN, ACLs, and basic network security practices
- Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills
Preferred (Not Required):
- Certifications: Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Meraki CMNA, ECMS1/2, or CompTIA Network
- Experience with network monitoring or ticketing systems (SolarWinds, PRTG, ServiceNow)
- Familiarity with Azure or other cloud networking environments
Schedule & Location:
- Hybrid: 2 days onsite in Key West, FL, 3 days remote
- Full-time, 8-hour day shifts (Monday–Friday)
- 1-week paid training in Key West (all expenses covered)
