As a Quality Assurance Auditor, you are the guardian of L2 Aviation’s Quality Management System (QMS). WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- As a Quality Assurance Auditor, you play a critical role in ensuring our operations, suppliers, and teams consistently meet the highest standards of compliance, safety, and performance. You will:
- Plan, schedule, and conduct internal audits of quality systems, production processes, facilities, documentation, and training programs.
- Perform external audits of vendors and suppliers, including onsite assessments and review of self-audit submissions.
- Prepare detailed audit reports, highlighting findings, non-conformances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Monitor corrective and preventive actions to ensure timely resolution and effectiveness.
- Support compliance with FAA, EASA, AS9100/ISO, and customer-specific requirements.
- Collaborate with department leaders to address systemic issues and embed quality-driven practices across operations.
- Maintain and update audit records to ensure readiness for regulatory and customer inspections.
- Provide guidance during third-party and regulatory audits.
- Recommend improvements to the QMS, supplier quality processes, and training programs.
- Perform other related duties to strengthen L2 Aviation’s culture of quality and compliance excellence.
WHAT YOU BRING:
- You’ll excel in this role if you:
- Hold an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Engineering, Aviation Technology, or a related field.
- Bring 3 years of quality auditing experience in aerospace, aviation manufacturing, or MRO environments.
- Are an ASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or hold an equivalent certification.
- Have strong knowledge of FAA/EASA regulations, AS9100, ISO 9001, and other industry standards.
- Are familiar with production and maintenance practices in avionics or aviation product manufacturing.
- Apply risk-based thinking and process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) in your audits.
- Excel at report writing, root cause analysis, and communicating findings effectively.
- Demonstrate attention to detail with a structured, analytical approach.
- Build positive relationships with internal teams and external vendors while maintaining professionalism in sensitive compliance matters.
- Can travel semi-frequently to perform audits.
- Are committed to continuous improvement and organizational excellence.
- Must submit to and pass pre-employment drug testing and any applicable company/FAA Drug and Alcohol Abuse Program that may be required.
- Must be able to pass required background checks, including a 10-year TSA check if airport access or badging is required.
