We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machinist to join our growing manufacturing team and support high-quality aerospace fabrication operations.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • The Machinist is responsible for fabricating precision aircraft and manufacturing components using manual and CNC machining equipment in support of avionics integration, aircraft modification, and aerospace manufacturing programs. This role requires the ability to interpret engineering drawings, maintain tight tolerances, and ensure all parts meet quality and regulatory standards. You will:


  • Set up and operate manual and CNC machining equipment including mills, lathes, drill presses, grinders, and saws. 
  • Fabricate precision metal and non-metal aircraft components in accordance with engineering drawings and technical specifications. 
  • Perform cutting, drilling, tapping, boring, milling, turning, and finishing operations. 
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, sketches, and work instructions to determine machining requirements. 
  • Verify dimensions and tolerances using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and indicators. 
  • Assist in fixture, tooling, and jig fabrication to support manufacturing operations.
  • Ensure all fabricated components meet quality standards, engineering requirements, and customer expectations. 
  • Maintain accurate documentation related to work performed, inspections, and material traceability. 
  • Identify non-conformances and work with Quality and Engineering teams to resolve issues. 
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, quality, and process consistency. 
  • Follow all FAA, AS9100, company quality procedures, and safety requirements.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machining equipment and work areas. 
  • Monitor tooling conditions and report maintenance or replacement needs. 
  • Maintain an organized, safe, and efficient workspace.
  • Work closely with Engineering, Quality, Production, and Structures teams to support manufacturing schedules and project requirements. 
  • Assist with prototype development, production support, and special manufacturing projects as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by department management.



WHAT YOU BRING:

  • You’ll thrive in this role if you bring:
    • 3 years of machining experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or precision fabrication environments preferred. 
    • Experience operating manual and/or CNC machining equipment. 
    • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation. 
    • Strong understanding of machining practices, tooling, and precision measurement techniques. 
    • High attention to detail with commitment to quality workmanship. 
    • Familiarity with aerospace manufacturing standards and quality systems preferred. 
    • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. 
    • Ability to work independently and within a team-oriented production environment. 
    • Prior aerospace or aviation manufacturing experience preferred. 
    • Technical/trade school certification in machining or manufacturing technology preferred.
    • Must submit to and pass pre-employment drug testing and any applicable company/FAA Drug and Alcohol Abuse Program that may be required.
    • Must be able to pass required background checks, including a 10-year TSA check if airport access or badging is required.
