WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- The Avionics Technician I supports aircraft modification and installation programs through hands-on avionics integration work both on-site and in our local manufacturing facility. You will:
- Perform wire preparation and termination of single conductor, multi-conductor, and coaxial wiring.
- Conduct continuity checks, power checks, and functional testing on all installed wiring and equipment.
- Route, secure, and label wiring harnesses in accordance with engineering and regulatory standards.
- Interpret wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, and technical documents to support installation tasks.
- Support aircraft installation crews with off-aircraft assembly, parts tracking, inventory, job site setup, and documentation.
- Perform harness and kit manufacturing activities at the company’s headquarters or remote locations.
- Assist with troubleshooting and support activities as required by project teams.
- Perform all installation activities in accordance with FAA-approved documents, Manufacturer’s Installation Manuals, and all applicable L2 Aviation procedures.
- Uphold L2 Aviation’s Quality Policy, contributing to continuous improvement and regulatory excellence.
- Approximately 15% travel to support remote modification and installation projects.
WHAT YOU BRING:

- 2 years of experience in avionics modifications, aircraft electrical systems, or related aviation maintenance.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a self-directed approach to assigned tasks.
- Experience on transport-category aircraft preferred, hands-on aircraft modification experience a plus.
- Flexibility and adaptability when project requirements shift or evolve.
- Desire to learn, grow, and pursue advancement opportunities within the organization.
- Ability to work extended hours and consecutive days as needed.
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods and perform frequent bending, twisting, squatting, pushing, pulling, and crawling.
- Ability to work in confined spaces, at various heights, and in diverse environmental conditions.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Comfort working with tools, aircraft components, and materials of various sizes.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Must be able to obtain a passport if hired.
- Must submit to and pass pre-employment drug testing and any applicable company/FAA Drug and Alcohol Abuse Program that may be required.
- Must be able to pass required background checks, including a 10-year TSA check if airport access or badging is required.
